So i am seriously thinking about the use of interview on one of the studies I am presently conducting, however, I want to confirm if it is possible to analyze the response of respondents with the use of any statistical packages? Are you doing open-ended qualitative interviews? If so, you should look into software such as ATLAS.ti, Dedoose, MAXQDA, or NVivo.
If you are using a survey instrument, then a basic question would about be your sample size. In particular, it is quite difficult to get statistically significant results with small Ns.
If you are using interviews you are gearing towards a qualitative methodology. You will not use "Statistical packages." You will use qualitative data analysis which as David L Morgan mentioned.

NVivo and the other software programs consistently promote their ability to interface with SPSS or Excel. But the primary reason for doing is if you have a lot of short answer questions for a survey question that you wish to code in the qualitative software and then return the results to the quantitative software as a set of dummy variables (i.e., which cases did or did not contain a specific code).
Alternatively, if you have a small qualitative data set and you want to use "classifying" variables (e.g., the general of the participant), all of the software programs offer the ability to do that internally, without any need for SPSS etc.
