I have a question.
As I read in many books, they said that optical transmission is having so many advantages, one is "less (free from) interference". And as we know, light is an electromagnetic wave.
So, how can an optical transmission (the light) have a less (free from) interference than using a copper cable as a transmission link?

I guess you are referring to optical fiber transmission. In this case light wave is guided by the fiber and no interference occurs with outside signals. However, the main advantages of optical fiber communication over electrical cable transmission is its high bandwidth capability and extremely low loss at two specific wavelengths 1.3 um and 1.55 um.
The optic fiber cable is made of materials which ate not conductors, so they will not pick up electromagetic waves or radiations near by as it will not function as an antenna...more over the signals transmitted are in the form of light and not current as in copper wires which also reduces the interference.

There are many ways to look at this. Optical fibers are based on light transmission. Light can only be coupled to a fiber at its entry points. It cannot usually get coupled to the fiber from the side, and even if it could, it's very easy to optically insulate optical fibers (just cover them with something not transparent). With EM radiation in the RF insulation is much more difficult. Also, in copper wires the signal is a modulation of the current, but the wires also act as an antenna, collecting EM radiation and turning it into current (EM interference).
Suppose reflection at both interfaces is small and of near to equal amplitudes. Then, modulation due to interference in transmission is very small (near zero in per cents) whereas modulation in reflection is pretty 100 per cents, i.e. very high.
