I am performing a phase change simulation of PCM in metal matrix. I am confused how to add interface temperature and heat flux at PCM-metal interface. Does ANSYS built interface automatically. During the results plot, i found that there is no heat transfer from metal matrix to PCM or vice versa and metal stays at its constant tempearture value. How to couple PCM with metal matrix.
Did you enable the energy equation? It's could be the main reason for your problem didn't work. If the PCM is a region inside the metal matrix and the heat flux B.C is applied in the metal matrix boundary, I suggest you ajust the PCM interface to "Coupled".
If these suggestions don't work, upload an image of your computational domain. :)
ANSYS will built interface automatically in case of two surfaces having a common wall in between them. If not then you have to create coupled wall in between them through interface section in ANSYS. If you can upload the image of the domain then there will be more clarity in this question. :)
