It's high time that Indian Pharmaceutical sector wake up from slumber! The nature and complexities of problems with Indian multinationals or small timers producing spurious or counterfeit drugs may be different but the root cause seems to be their greed and deliberate ignorance to ethics. Instead, they must invest in R&D and stop just being copycats or thugs. This is a question of human life, integrity and national dignity. Hope the government, scientists, civil society and industry work together to come out of this impasse.
