During the quarantine in my home via Coronavirus. one question makes my mind busy. Why the income of researchers in all parts of the world is much lower than artists, football players,..... Although the researcher has the most impact on the life of mankind?

Yes, researchers are extremely vital part of society. However, that has nothing to do with demand. Actors, actress, football players are paid so much because their large audience pool is willing to pay a big price for their performance.
