Ph.D course work is necessary for Ph.D in many universities.M.Phil students were exempted from Ph.D course work because they taught research methodology in their M.Phil.What are your opinion if research methodology paper includes in the syllabus at master's level?
In our university specially in M.Com. Ist Sem the paper entitled "Research Methodology " is being taught. But those who are interested to do Ph.D are not being exempted from Pre Ph.D Course work. My suggestion is that students of all streams who have studied this Research Methodology paper at PG level must be exempted from Pre Ph.D course work.

I agree with your suggestion. It's time consuming and repetation of syllabus.
In nursing programs in the US, research methodology is often taught at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral level. I know my love of research biases me but I believe it is complicated enough to warrant exposure on all those levels.

Sir, I agreed with your suggestion for inclusion of RM in the syllabus of Masters. But there is a point to be considered that every subject has a limit according to the level of program. Many topics of Mathematics are included in undergraduate syllabus but up to a limited level. And there broad version is included in the master's syllabus. So, the exemption of RM in pre-Ph.D. course work based on previous course will not be beneficial.
