I understand how important it is for teachers to promote intrinsic motivation in their students. It can be challenging at times, but with the right teaching strategies, it is achievable. Russell Ackoff stated that "Teaching is an obstruction to learning." I use that as a friendly reminder to myself when I really enjoy performing in front of my students and steal the time from their learning process.

In my opinion, intrinsic motivations is linked with diversity. According to Gardner multiple intelligences, every student has their particular way of learning. Besides, it is important to consider natural curiosity of human beings. So, if the learning process analyses interests of students and their particular way of learning, there is no problem, the process would be designed to lead students discovering their interests. Additionally, it is important to bear in mind the importance of social interaction, partners, mentors and instructors can support the process (Proximal development zome - Vygotsky) and construct a whole frame of perverant practice to complement motivation since it is important to have continuity in learning.
