Relativistic mass is a velocity dependent mass, and if we use it in Newton's second law of motion in relation to a given force, it means that as the velocity increases due to acceleration, the mass will increase too, and so the acceleration will decrease, and so the rate of increase of velocity will decrease. The velocity will then tend towards the speed of light, but never actually reach the speed of light.

How did Einstein derive the relativistic mass formula? Where can we see the derivation? It doesn't appear to be in either the June 1905 paper or the September 1905 addendum.
