I have read many papers related to HER and ORR, most of them uses Pt as counter electrode. But according to reviewers Pt may get oxidized and reflects activity of the material by reattaching to working electrode. If I want to study ORR and HER but by using Pt as counter electrode only how should I proceed or convince reviewers? Please help me out.

In your mentioned study, you should avoid using Pt as a counter electrode (carbon rod or cloth can be use). In case Pt is CE in your work, after the stability study of HER, you can provide post-XPS/ elemental/XRD analysis to confirm the absence of Pt

In general, nowadays, reviewers and editors are recommending to avoid use of Pt counter electrodes. You may use graphite instead for future works.
