Polyembryony is the major setback in citrus breeding. Identification of zygotic progenies is difficult. Hence I thought of using pummelo, a monoembryonic species as female parent, so that the confusion of zygotic and nucellar plants will not arise. In rootstock, we need polyembryonic plants. If i use pummelo, the resulting progeny will be monoembryony or polyembryony?
