Do I have to divide the measured values / mass of sample or not, if so are I to also plot the hysteresis curves

you basically need for the relevant quantities of a hysteresis loop. The VSM should give you as output the magnetic moment of your specimen, m. By assuming this is constant in your sample volume, M=m/V, where V is the specimen volume. At this point you can plot M vs H an you'll find the hysteresis. Finally:
- Ms is the saturation point: at high fields, the M vs H should become constant and equal to Ms.
- Mr is the residual magnetization. It's the value of M for H=0.
- Hc is the coercive field. It's the value of H for M=0.

The hints from Mariano Pentella are very good and should be sufficient for your needs. I only wish to point out one issue that you should be aware of: depending on the type of magnetic material (hard or soft), you may obtain meaningful or meaningless value of Mr. In VSM technique, samples usually have the shape that provokes demagnetisation. In such case, hyst loops incline towards H axis. Subsequently, the Mr value (crossing with M axis) may be underestimated. This is not so important if Hc is sufficiently large.
