The sem package provides basic structural equation modeling facilities in R, including the ability to fit structural equations in observed variable models by two-stage least squares, and to fit latent variable models by full information maximum likelihood as- suming multinormality.Structural equation modeling (SEM) is a powerful multivariate analysis technique that is widely used in the social sciences .Its applications range from analysis of simple relationships between variables to complex analyses of measurement equivalence for first and higher-order constructs.
