I am assuming that a given universe follows a cycle of expansion and contraction, with the start and end being a singularity. If one universe is a closed system, then entropy would have to be exchanged among universes. If this is so, could the total entropy be constant? Feel free to let me know if I am just missing something.

Would the laws of physics change during a period of contraction?

Also, just to clarify, I realize that nothing can be "proven" without at the very least a simulation.

And speaking of simulations, someone should check it out if they are also curious. I would do it myself, but I don't have the time or the resources.
