In a glass flow cell chamber (glass substrates placed parallel like sandwich to make flow cell) with negatively charged microsphere, negative charge of the glass surface creates repulsive force between sphere and the glass surface. If these repulsive forces from both top and bottom direction work vertically on sphere, what will be the direction of the movement of sphere?
With Vertically placed plates the sphere would fall over a line just between the plates (in the middle). With Horizontally places plates the gravity will need to be overcome and the sphere will get a stable position between the plates, but closer to the lower plate (as this plate needs to compensate both the electric repulsion and the gravity of the sphere.
