If a researcher is collecting data using both open ended questions and interviews with an aim of developing a model, which style of grounded theory is one advised to use between the Strausian or Glaserian. Any advise on this would be appreciated. Thank you
Any kind of Grounded Theory requires that you integrate your data collection and analysis, so that what you learn from your early interviews affects the questions that you ask in later interviews. If you plan to ask the same questions throughout your survey, you should consider some other alternative to GT.
David is correct Medina. What you decribe is a 'standard' technique for collecting open-ended surveys. It doesn't dictate the adopted methodology - nor the style if it's to be GT. You could chose any qualitative methodology - depending on what you specifically wanted to do i.e. develop theory, elicit experiences etc.

I am not sure of Grounded Theoryis best. because you can not go back and forth repeatedly to the people providing you data. Here is one approach to critical text analysis that may serve you:

One of the best authors on the subject of qualitative method is John W. Creswell. He has multiple books on research design, including qualitative method and mixed-method design. You will find him easily by searching.
Medina Halako Twalib your initial idea to use grounded theory is sound, but I would suggest you need to expand the design of your project to examine the underpinning of your research in regard to research philosophy, methodology, and methods. For methodology, there are two basic approaches to grounded theory (with several variations). First, the 'traditional' approach proposed by Glasser & Strauss in 1967 which later split into Glasserian and Straussian grounded theory approaches both evolving over time. A second major approach from more recent work using a constructivist approach is associated with Charmaz. In general, a grounded theory may include a variety of methods. Often, GT studies use purposive sampling. Most GT studies require concurrent data generation and data analysis through various stages/levels of coding and use constant comparative analysis throughout the study in addition to theoretical sampling and memoing.

Usually, questionnaires are used to collect information from a large number of people to obtain specific information, know behaviours/views, and tendencies. Not sure what do you mean by open-ended questions? Are you giving them a space to write down instead of a scale or options?
Dear Medina Halako Twalib if you are thinking of using this theoretical perspective, the important thing is to understand that emerging categories emerge from it and then the theory, therefore the important thing is not the collection but the methodological treatment.
Medina - as your earlier question - GT is the best approach for developing new theory from a qualitative perspective. However, as the good responses since - caution is advised. You can't just 'cherry-pick' methodology. The rationale and justification must be strong to adopt in the first place.
Almost all qualitative research "develops theory" in the sense of moving from observations to explanations of why those observations are the way they are. Sometimes, this is low-level theory in the sense of generating hypotheses, and other times it reaches to higher levels by explaining the relationships among key concepts. But I do not think there is anything unique about Grounded Theory in this regard.
As an alternative, you might consider Braun and Clarke's (2006) Thematic Analysis. In particular, one over-looked aspect of their version of TA is that their examples almost always link their themes together into a network. This kind of "model" treats themes as key theoretical concepts and shows the relationships among them.

First of all, I echo Michael W Marek's caution, above; while, choosing between Straussian- or Glaserian-flavoured GT depends on your preferred 'style' as a researcher, as one can argue that Straussian is a more 'technical' process (in the sense of using techniques for data analysis) than Glaserian.
This said, in your situation, I'd consider David's suggestion above, of Thematic Analysis.
