If one of the column value is zero, as shown in the screen shot below, taking a fishers exact will be good for association or is it better to combine values and do analysis?
The chi-squared test is used to compare values between two groups or to determine if there is an association between two categorical variables.
If there are more than 20% of the cells with less than 5 expected frequencies in the table, it is better to perform Fisher's exact test instead of the chi-square test.
Three values are zero in Acne, it is a constant. Thus you should include zero values in statistical analysis.
I think another way is to compare two non-zero values in Acne using chi-square test.
I mean you should do fishers exact analysis including zero values in age group as you categorized. I think your results is good based on statistical methodology.
Another way is divided into children, adolescents, adults or age group into 10 years ( e.g 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60 years). This is general in population based studies.
