Actually I am new in research field.I want to publish a paper.I have written my research proposal.I am seeking expert opinion to enrich my proposal. As it is a good platform to learn.
When I first opened my account, I did everything except uploaded my paper until after it was published by ProQuest. I do know that you can upload preprints but if you are honestly concerned about conflict of interest concerning publication later, then don't do it. Do some more research on preprints first. I will certainly tell you until you have copyright protection, do not upload it on any forum. I hope that helps.
I have had multiple instances in which other colleagues tried to steal my work. I have learned to be very tight with it until it is published with my name on it. I am amazed by how many experiences I have had with people claiming my work as their own. For that reason, my advice is to not put your research anywhere until it is published. If you want to share something on Research Gate, I recommend an alternate one paragraph summary describing the highlights, but the same verbage in your abstract.
