I think it is very difficult to get it. It is because of electron of 1s orbital is tightly covered by electron of 2s and 2p orbital so that the bombardement electron come from the device will attack electron of either 2s or 2p orbital rather than that of 1s orbital. In conjunction to this, we may be able to get C 2s1 2p3; 2s1 2p2 or 2s1 2p not C 1s sp2.
Thank you very much with your respond. Your answer is very detail and I am totally agree with your opinion. But how the graphene XPS spectrum look like?. From my knowledge, it's must be at 1-eV lower than C-C sp3, which at 284-eV. And what is the main features of this XPS graphene spectrum?' Can I refer to it's phi shake up to confirm the existence of this graphene?
Thank you very much for your explanation...Very detail and superb...Hopefully, I can keep in touch with your in the future regarding to XPS analysis....Cheers Doc
