I would like to discuss our results (fulfilled questionnaires (BDI, STAI, ADHD, Child Behavior tests) cca 6 years after pediatric heart surgery we have done statistics but I do think that our rejection had reason.
I am an anesthesiologist and intensivist and I feel not really gripped this topic.

Report/describe the behavioral function test outcomes separately from the psychological tests. Perhaps note as a limitation if you haven't used child versions like the C-BDI. It will be interesting to see ADHD rates at follow-up. Perhaps these can be compared to general prevalence rates in other studies with similar aged youth, if you don't have a control group in your study. There are of course many neurobehavioral studies for pediatric ASD, VSD, and Tetralogy of Fallot surgeries to compare with.
