Hi Anislei,

QGIS is powerful and have signifcant support on the net. QGIS have advantages due to GRASS and SAGA integration and numerous plugins.

In my opinion, methodology and data (availability and quality) are more significant than software packge. Because tasks such as biomass resource assessment requires similar operations in GIS environment..
