Humic and fluvic acids can stimulate plant growth based on their effects as growth regulators. The laboratory studies show effects at 50 to 250 ppm in solution. in conditions of Turkey with widespread Zinc and Iron deficiency possible. Since Turkey has some notorious micronutrient deficiencies I believe a seed treatment with deficient micros be added with humic acid which is needed in small quantities. Humic acid mobilizes immobile Zinc and Iron and these should work synergistically. A split plot design with your varieties with and without your seed treatments should give very valuable information for your breeding and management purposes. In Turkey there is concern about micronutrient deficiency in the food system and this could give good information related to that if final seed analysis is conducted.
