I am an IMG researcher and my current study is “behavior of newborns“ especially the prematures. I was reading some articles about Mother-infant dyads when i come along ”Neonatal Behavior Assessment Scale”. Though i found a couple of research articles dealing with or under NBAS, but i could not find any training online/ offline, and any readable materials even from Brazelton’s official website.
So it would be very thankful if i ’ve some of your help in getting trained on this scale, or can I get some readables so that i can study it snd have better understanding it and can use it in my study? I heard Dr. T B Brazelton wrote a book on NBAS too, so if i can borrow or get that book? My current project is also on Mother-infant relationship study using “Attachment During Stress” (i-ADS) scale too, but can i get some details about NBAS scale, its questionnaire, how it is applied to newborns, some eligibilities of inclusion exclusion about its application, and likewise? I'm a nurse on a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in the Netherlands. We use the COMFORT Neo scale. I can tell you something about that. It's a tool to meassure pain and comfort. NICU nurses are trained to use it well. Recently the whole team is trained in Family Infant and Neurodevelopmental Education (FINE). There are 3 levels of Education in FINE. This study used different scales like the ALPS- NEO or the EVIN there are more than 40 scales to meassure pain or stress

very much thanks for your invitation and i wishes you and your team well success in it. Yes, why not. I love to read it and understand that first, looks very interesting.
Do your ALPS-Neo, COMFORT, FINE scales also covers some aspects of ADS scale, NBAS scale, because the team with which i am working right now dealts with “production of new behavior responses” or “changed relationship between mother-infant” due to, of course, stress and pain in NICU. That is what some of my PhD senior guide me that NBAS scale cover all of it; pain, stress, behavior change, and mother infant relationship.
So yes, why not if you guide me in my study, and tell me something about scales you mentioned by your team working at present, i shall be very thankful.
