I need to detect the total amount of carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) in insects and plants. Does anyone know methods to do this?

Thank you! Looks like Vario Max is what I need! The only problem is that freezing is not always possible. Have you ever tried to keep your samples in ethanol or this may affect the ratio of C and N in a bad way? What is your experience?

You can dry your insect samples at 50-60 C. In the lipids of insects you will see about 73% of the mass is carbon and
