i know your all ideas(biofuels, MFC and etc) but i need some other ideas about airplane, aircraft and ....
1. grow porous boiceramic carcase for space mission aircraft. Don't forget to add some heavy metal ions to protect from cosmic rays.
2. impregnate or/and coat it with bacterial plastic (f.e. poly-glicolic acid). Create mechanical features and protection from neutron radiation. Extract and replace plastic if need
3. inlay some triggered microcapsules with sleeping spores of destructive strains to demolish aircraft after use period
Alternatively, modify geneticaly some shrims or cancer to grow up aircraft from chitin and use it as a base to create your space aircraft. Coz it better to use chitin structure to create some parts of aircraft and bioceramic for jet engine.
Finally, don't forget invite me as a consultant if you take monney for these ideas ;)
