I have some mistakes for my reasearch about the grafted TNTs and epoxy?

That is: 1. TNTs (Titanium dioxides nanotubes) were grafted by 3-aminopropyl trimethyloxysilane (APTS) but not carried on in water. That process put in toluene, so how APTS can get "OH" group replace "CH3-O" if not have water?

2. The modified TNTs only in water-base polymer or oil-base polymer? Anybody test oil soaking for the modified TNTs?
