I have prepared Eu3+ doped glass with various alkaline earth metals. I have recorded Raman and FTIR spectra for the prepared samples, how can I determine the phonon energy for these samples?
Please Suggest.
Detail analysis of Raman and FTIR will help to understand the system better and theoretical calculation might help to find the phonon energy levels.

It all depends on the host glass that which you have chosen. There are already calculated values of phonon frequencies for borate, phosphate, silicate . germanate etc. glasses.The values may be slightly different with your composition. See the literature.
