I have done flood mapping using SAR but for validation i am finding difficulty in getting a data set...i opted for LANDSAT image but there i am facing difficulty in cloud coverage as coverage is 80 to 90%.
please suggest any dataset that is freely available and has 5 to 10% cloud cover.
MODIS NRT based flood maps can be used, however these are coarse resolution product. Also you can use MODIS derived reflectance products to verify your hazard area.
If you still wanted to compare with the optical one, check with Sentinel 2A/B data....I must say, you will get some clue during the event, if flood water stays for 15 to 25 days.
Actually I want to verify the flood inundated area...for that modis will be okay...??
Pide al proveedor de imágenes, a partir de las fechas en las cuáles la nubosidad sea muy baja.
Quizás sea en periodos de sequía en las áreas de interés.
