I would like to calculate TBARS as mg MDA/kg sample. The procedure of TBARS analysis was followed the method of Pfalzgraf, Frigg, and Steinhart (1995) as described by Hayes, Canonico, and Allen (2013) published in MeatScience journal
in titled "Effects of organic tomato pulp powder and nitrite level on the physicochemical,textural and sensory properties of pork luncheon roll" with the formulation [MDA]=(A532/X)2.975 (correction factor for 10g of sample)
The standard concentration series are 10 to 100 microlite of TMP.
To me, I used TEP to make standard curve with concentration series 0 to 25 ppm of TEP.
My question is could I use the formulation mentioned above to calculate TBARS for my experiment?
