During preparation, Iron Chloride solution was mixed with CNC solution. CNC reduced the Iron into its 0 oxidation state (confirmed from XRD). I don't have Guoy balance or magnetometer to measure its magnetic susceptibility.
I wish to know the magnetic susceptibility values of the whole powder or its constittuents (CNC and Fe(0)) in ballpark.
Firstly, the author's name of one measurement method for magnetic susceptibility is Louis Georges Gouy, therefore it should be written with a capital letter – “Gouy balance”. Secondly, iron is a ferromagnetic and its magnetic susceptibility depends both on the magnetization and on the external magnetic field.
In addition, I very much doubt that XRD is an analytical procedure. As a minimum, the concentration of iron (0) in the sample must be determined correctly. If we take in account possibility of appearance of intermediate phases (for example, iron carbides or oxides etc.) at the interface between elemental iron and the coating, then abstract discourse about magnetic susceptibility of this composition generally does not make any sense. If this value is important for research - it must be measured.
In general, the magnetic susceptibility is an additive value. I.e. for n constituent elements composition: χ = Sum(i=1, n; ci,·χi) , where ci – is concentration of component i, and χi is its magnetic susceptibility.
For this calculation the susceptibilities and concentrations of the components should be known .

Thanks for alluding the point that measurement is necessary. I was thinking to get an idea of the value for Fe(0). But if I am not able to get, I will resort to measurement which will take time.
