I hope you are doing well. I have used these programs quite often and worked with many different versions. These are the steps I usually follow to link both with each other. You can try these steps for your case to link them.

Please note that these steps are just for demonstration purposes, and file or version names and locations of files may differ according to the version you are trying to link. Please also check their compatibility on their respective portals before installing.

Installation Guide for Windows:

1. First, Install Visual Studio of compatible version **:

- After installation completion, run the program and close it.

2. Install Intel Fortran of compatible version**:

- After installation, add the MKL path: (If you are going to use Intel Fortran Math Kernel libraries in your subroutine)

- Right-click on Computer (on your desktop) and select Properties.

- Click Advanced system settings.

- In the new window that appears, click Environment variables.

- Under System variables, select Path and click Edit.

- Click into the Variable value field to remove the selection. Then add to the end of the value:

- Click OK, OK, OK.

3. **Install Abaqus and Edit abq6131.bat**: (File name may differ for your version)

- Navigate to C:\SIMULIA\Abaqus\Commands` and edit `abq6131.bat'

- Add these lines:

4. **Verify the Installation**:

- Open an Abaqus command window and type:

abaqus verify -user_std

or

abaqus verify -all

To Find the Right Paths for your case, you can locate these files by following these demo paths for different versions.

- **Path for "vcvars64`**:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\VC\bin\amd64

Call "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\VC\bin\amd64\vcvarsall.bat" x64

- **Path for `ifortvars.bat`**:

C:\Program Files (x86)\IntelSWTools\compilers_and_libraries_2017.4.210\windows\bin

C:\Program Files (x86)\IntelSWTools\compilers_and_libraries_2017.4.210\windows\bin\ifortvars.bat" intel64 vs2015

- **Path for `vcvarsall.bat`**:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\VC

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\VC\vcvarsall.bat" x64

- **Path for `ipsxe-comp-vars.bat`**:

C:\Program Files (x86)\IntelSWTools\compilers_and_libraries_2017.4.210\windows\bin
