If you mean to create your own psychological instrument, I advise against this, as your data will be suspect. Eliminating or changing questions in a standard instrument invalidates the research that was done to establish it as a valid measurement tool.
Just my opinion, I'm not an expert.
If you didn't mean this, you might consider editing your question.
Hi. I have already developed a set of tests to assess personality from the Indian Vedic perspective. It is online on my website. I have developed my own software for the analysis and its online on my website and I also have a patent pending on the same. Do visit my website and take a look.
Shilpa, Being slightly familiar with Ayurvedic medicine, I am curious how you researched and validated your assessment instruments, to show that they are scientifically reliable for use on their target populations. Or do they only measure objective traits, such as determining body Vata/Pitta/Kapha type and the relative mental dominance of Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas, rather than true personality (whatever that is)?
Or do you consider personality to actually consist only of these two simple measurements? In the West, personality measurement has very different meaning and applications than the ayurvedic personality measurement, in my opinion.
