I am interested in LEAN operations application to Civil Engineering- land development, not construction. Are there any recommendations?

I am in my final year of studying logistics and IT. I am not an engineer, but work for a US-based civil engineering firm as a CAD designer. There is a need in our office for improved business procedures, such as LEAN methodology, but I am struggling to find existing applications in land development specifically as most of the information I can find is related to construction projects. I'd appreciate any recommendations or suggestions!
