I am doing benzoquinone(wide bandgap) passivation (thickness- a monolayer) for n-type silicon followed by spin coating PEDOT:PSS for my carrier selective solar cells and observing S-shaped curves on my J-V plot. As expected the Fill factor is very low for these cells. It has to be holes because problem is seen in light curve only. At forward bias in dark you are also supposed to be injecting holes but it looks like you can’t do that very well. So both light and dark anomalies point to it being at the front HJ interface.

I understand there are several reasons possible for S-curve, the prominent being band alignment and thickness variation but how do I verify this?
