La Trobe University includes reflective learning as part of pharmacy education. I have taught an introduction to reflective writing for first year pharmacy students, but I will share your message and see if I can get a better contact in the pharmacy program.

Interesting. I have been involved in reflective learning to develop the desired behavioural outcomes among medical students. We were developing some "themes" e.g "Respect" and I will give brief idea about how a doctor practice this in hospital. later, each facilitator will sit for an hour with his tutees (reflection session) and ask them to share what they observed in the hospital sessions and what are the good/bad experiences and how students should practice in the future. The assessment was a problem during the reflection session, but it was better in the reflective diaries and peer assessment. Frankly speaking, the sessions was running great and the students liked it indeed. But, the assessment was not reliable as well as you need to train your staff properly to measure the same thing. I would advise to give feedback orally rather to make students overwhelmed with grades.

Thank you for your feedback on the issues of reflective practice.

I teach in a 3 year Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and reflective practice is a critical element of our curriculum. We teach the concepts of reflection in our course entitled Teaching and Physical Therapy Practice. These concepts are then applied throughout the curriculum in a variety of course, with a focus on metacognition and application to future practice. Students find them most relevant when applied in clinically related courses, both didactic and clinical. Students are also required to maintain an electronic portfolio throughout the curriculum. Finally, the students revisit and refine their ePortfolio in the Capstone course, once again, requiring reflection on the entire curriculum as well as their future career.
