I wanted to calculate ESC scores for a batch of patients in excel. Does anyone know the mathematical formula that can be entered in excel with referencing to all the variables that will calculate the ESC scores for the batch of patients?
I am currently calculating the risk scores individually and it is very time consuming.

thats great. It is working well. The only issue that is different is that when you check online there are certain assumptions that are considered in the online version. I.e. LAdiameter minimum 28mm, LVOT gradient minimum 2mmHg, LVWT min 10mm, etc which is not what the equation does.
There appears to be a significant difference if the web-based assumptions are taken into account.
Any ideas on how the equation was actually devised and why the presumptions were taken into account?

The equation itself is from this cohort study:

The reason for those assumptions is that the equation is based on a large group of people (n = 3675), but this group certainly does not account for physiological variability of every person in the world. As such, when you have a patient that has measurements significantly different from this cohort, you should either not use this equation, or interpret the results with caution. For the LA diameter for instance, their baseline values were 44mm ± 8 (S.D.) so below 28mm is different enough such that that type of individual is likely not captured by the cohort, and so the equation may not necessarily hold for them.
I have updated the excel sheet to show red if the value falls outside the recommended range.
