The current technological revolution, known as Industry 4.0, is determined by the development of the following technologies of advanced information processing: Big Data database technologies, cloud computing, machine learning, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, Business Intelligence and other advanced data mining technologies.
In view of the above, what kind of information technologies from the Industry 4.0 range and how will they help to protect the natural environment and biodiversity?

There are probably hundreds of answers for your question. In my opinion, first thing that comes to mind is energy monitoring using smart sensor. This will help reduce carbon foot print. Agriculture: monitoring soil moisture and other environmental conditions can help achieve JIT in agriculture and inturn reduce carbon foot print.
Various forms of advanced technologies will help protect natural resources in many ways inter alia monitoring, explorations and decision support systems.
I think that information technology can make the control of the evolution of nature and of the natural phenomena that govern in an immediate way almost in real time and therefore help the man who is interdependent with it to solve the problems that affect it negatively.
This can be achieved by monitoring the phenomena by creating more and more complete databases, using sensors capable of continuously reporting atmospheric and seismological data that are correlated.
Pollution arising from human activities can be monitored and minimized.
The various sectors identified were divided and analyzed first through the "TOP-DOWN" method and then dealt separately to minimize the impact or even solve any problems.
