Hardening parameters for metals (K and n) usually determined using true stress plastic strain curve data by plotting log-log curve and calculate the slope and the intersection. However, if you have small amount of material that not enough to do tensile test that will be a challenge? There is any other ways to determine these parameters, such as hardness or other easy tests can be performed on small amount of materials.

Think of compression testing then... I did once on 1.5 mm shape memory ball.
You can also use indentation test and identify the plastic parameters from the force versus displacement curve using inverse analysis. It works pretty well and some papers illustrating this demarch can easily be found in the literature.

Thank you for your answer, most of the indentation analysis approaches using power law model to describe the hardening behaviour, but that is not the case for all materials, inverse approach also have many assumptions based on curve fitting and regression analysis!! If you have some papers explain the procedure of getting the hardening papers please post them or add the link.

Thanks Chandra, Comp. test may works if you have homogeneous material in my case I have heterogeneous material such as welded parts. I am looking for test like indentation test but most of the procedures I find very are complicated and not straightforward.
