What is the extra credibility of having an MPH degree for an internist? Do online MPH courses (as in John Hopkins School of Public Health) carry same credibility as offline courses?
Thanks for your reply. But why so? I have seen many people doing MPH after MD in US of A. But of course this practice is surely not so prevalent in India. Here people interested in public health pursue MD in Community Medicine. But is it not better to have an MPH degree under his belt along with an MD (in clinical subject) for a doctor who wants to do something in public health research?
My take on the subject is that there are many other things a medic can do outside a hospital/clinic setting. And the MPH degree is the perfect entry point!
