The target of this discussion is to exchange the researchers experience to improve the writing quality of the academic journal papers, looking forward to your valuable participation.
While many Journals will have specific content requirements for Abstracts, a general guideline will be to aim for a concise description of all the major sections in your paper. Broadly, this will include a brief introduction of the topic, what your research contributes specifically to the scientific community, how your research was conducted, your findings, their implications, and your conclusion.
The abstract should be concise with highlight on the key finding and corresponding explanation. A few sentences are needed to point out the gap between existing researches and the current work. The significance and contribution of the the current work should be clear to readers. Great details should be avoided and placed in the main text.
An abstract is a summary of your paper. So it should start with the research objective or problem, methods, analysis and major findings all listed in a huge paragraph.Whether a reader will read the article or not will depend on the abstract.
