Do not add anything in the proposal which you cannot carry out in future.

You should first choose a good topic. It should be viable, original and not too ambitious.
For the proposal, it should be appropriately structured, the right length, follow writing conventions for each section, contain correctly formed paragraphs each having a main point, leading to a strong thread of argument. The literature review should also demonstrate critical analysis.
