I need to use leaf area index data for succession analysis in Mt.Papandayan, I would like to ask several questions :
1. How to extract MODIS data and present it ?
2. Is there any additional software that I have to download in order to process the data ?
3. Is there any publication related to the usage of MODIS data that I could use as reference ?

Regarding to your first question: To analyse MODIS data, You can use some software to read NetCDF files (e.g. ENVI, MatLab). Apart from these softwares You can also use your own programmes in fortran, IDL etc.

regarding to the next question: I really don't know what do you mean my word "Process". which process do you want to do on your data?!
