GIS suport the precision agril. system by providing timely data base and it will help timely and precise agricultural operation.

GIS can help spatially map many features across the landscape that could be useful for farming as well as security of storage facilities, and as well positioning activities to help protect clean water and dependent resources. Resources as soil types, streams, floodplains, rainfall distribution, wells, homes and communities, topography (including slope and aspect if desired), to aid in where and how to place agricultural terraces, roads for access to markets, streamside zones, land boundaries or ownership, areas suitable for harvest storage or processing, etc. Most seasoned farmers know their own land attributes, but GIS can be very helpful to look for options and opportunities across the landscape, and increase awareness. For many, taking a few training courses in GIS (ArcMap) will bring this into perspective. It can both display complex features, and calculate complex subjects and options for management.
