I'm designing an experimental setup for ammonia combustion. I will have liquid ammonia stored in a tank and I want to use it as gaseous fuel in the process.
Do I need to use a carrier gas and a CEM or is it possible to just use a simple evaporator ?

Further ammonia has a boiling point liquid ammonia at atmospheric pressure of -28oF (-33.3 oC).

Maybe you check the pressure-temperature curve to get a better understanding of your conditions.

A single standard cylinder will absorb enough heat from the ambient to have a continuous gas supply of up to ~30 kW thermal power with a standard pressure reducer valve, which is much more than usual in this field. If you use ~8 mm inner diameter PTFE tubes with stainless steel fittings, you will have no significant pressure drop. Mind the pressure loss at flow meters, regulators, and most importantly: at your gas nozzles. This is much easier than it seems at first glance. Make a pressure test in advance and always let the ammonia flow out when you finish your measurement - you will need, e.g., a propane torch to keep the flame continuous - and you will have no leakage problems.
