Thanks lot for answering. Really appreciated.

Could anyone please advise: I am activating some carbon material with KOH (C:KOH=1:7) at 850 deg C under N2.

KOH vapour condense into the furnace gas outlet tubing, blocking the the exhaust line and hard to clean because the condensed KOH (or K2O) sparks or create fire when exposed to air and catch fire with water.

I am using a trap into ice bath. Some vapour condense before the trap and some condense after the trap.

Does KOH become K2O at this temp?

How to trap that KOH or K2O vapour?

How to wash the tubing to clear the blockage?

Thanks again.
