Dear all Researchers in this group, please help me the way to score Parenting Style Scale to be grouped in to two dimensions and four categories. The Scale is, Parenting styles scale (PSS) which was developed by Lamborn, Mounts, Steinbberg & Dornbusch (1991) based on Maccoby and Martin’s (1983) revision of Baumrind’s (1966, 1971) parenting style scale. The scale has 25 items in which participants asked to rate their parents in terms of the two parenting dimensions: Acceptance/involvement sub-scale (13 items) and strictness/supervision sub-scale (12 items).So, my question is how to how to group in in to Acceptance/involvement and strictness/supervision dimensions, and finally the four parenting styles.

As part of my clinical research I believe that the biopsychosocial environment (BPSE) is quite potent in impacting bonding and attachment style and lack thereof.
I find the following subtypes: enriched, functional, sterile, dysfunctional and toxic.
They create: very secure, secure, insecure ambivalent, insecure avoidant and
disorganized and/or rage aggressive.
