I have a curve and its equation that I obtained from Excel. I have very large coefficients of this equation. By large coefficients I meant the number of digits after decimal is fairly large (9-10). If I reduce to even to 8 significant digits, the curve does not match. Is there any way to reduce the length of coefficients?
If the level of detail (amount of decimal digits) is important it might be worth looking into using other software for you equations. I would recommend the statistical software R in this regard, try it and see if it will solve your issues.
Excel doesn't have that according to what I know, you have to find the regression coefficients yourself if you want accurate coefficients as per your requirements.
If you are familiar with programming field, it'd not be too much problem as you can program in excel. But whether the number of digits are significant or not should be dependent on the nature of the data itself so you'd probably have to sacrifice some precision for that.
If I just start reducing only one digit , the curve starts to deviate.
