I have the Bis-Trifluoromethansulfonylimide acid (HTFSI) in powder. I would like to prepare the salt of Bis-Trifluoromethansulfonylimide sodium (Na-TFSI). In the literature it is mentioned that «Na-TSFI is synthesized by the reaction of 1M NaOH solution until the solution become neutral. The solution is heated to 60oC and dried under vacuum for 10h to remove water». In the MSDS, there is no information regarding the solubility. At the same time, it is said the this product reacts violently with water.
A simple acid-base neutralization should work fine. The violent reaction in water probably refers to an exothermic dissolution of the acid in water, similar to diluting conc. H2SO4 (gets hot). Try it in a small scale (like 1-2 g) first.

A simple acid base neutralization reaction in which you have to take both acid and base equimolar amount in water. there is doesn't matter regarding highly violent product formation and carried out this reaction in diluted medium.

instead of NaOH, use Na2CO3 or NaHCO3 in excess. React with acid in water, (foaming) and remove the water until dry. Extract Na-TFSI form the solids with acetonitrile, (it is the only soluble component), filter and evaporate the filtrate. NaTFSI is non -hygroscopic

do you tried ionic exchange column? But the most faster way to do a tritation with naoh usin a pH meter.
