4A molecular sieves will soak up both water and HCl. That should take care of most stability problems.
You can get the same effect by dissolving in toluene and distilling away the water and HCl as azeotropes. Leave under high vacuum and the residual toluene ought to be lowered to an insignificant level, at least for synthetic purposes.
Thank your for your answer Joseph, it is an esterification reaction in acid media, distilled esters with prolong times (10 days duration) we have observed ester hydrolysis ( no moisture or no catalyst in the media, for doing such hydrolysis.
We are conducting 5 to 10 kilo batches. It will kill our time of distillation and even after such distillation we have observed hydrolysis. thank you for your reply.
