I have a cubical system that includes many nanoparticles in the center those produces heat in transient state. And the system is kept in the normal environment with stationary air at the boundaries that help in the convective heat transfer. For my simplification, I want to solve this problem in the semi1-D cartesian coordinate system with heat flux at boundary and convection at the other boundary. How can I consider the heat flux? As the generated heat is distributed in 6 different direction, for solving in 1D, can I divided the flux by 6, to consider only in 1-D, or what should I do. Kindly your suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thank you very much.
