I want to know the different approach which is considered to smoothen out the roughened appearance occurred at the interface during single crystal growth and bicrystal growth of NaCl by considering two different crystallographic oriented planes of NaCl. If it is possible, then also provide a link.
Growth of NaCl crystal was carried by eveporation method at equal-temperature or with slowly reducing temperature, keep small growth rate.
Nilabh, could you explain further as to the smoothness you are looking for? It is possible to actually polish a face of a crystal carefully. If the crystal is large enough, it is possible to polish a face by rubbing it lightly with a slightly damp filter paper. If I misunderstand what you are looking for, please let me know.

what do you mean with NaCl "bicristal" ? Moreover, what 's about te method for growing your crystals and finally, what about the indexes of the faces you are concerned with ?
